Newscom’s Pictures of the Year in Entertainment
It’s hard to believe that 2011 is almost over. Seriously, it feels like just yesterday we were gushing over Natalie Portman’s awesome red carpet/pregnant style. But now, as we’re putting together our pictures of the year lightboxes and blogs, we realize just how much has happened in the entertainment world and we’ve got a whole lot of stuff since Portman to highlight. From baby bumps, to awards, to just good old fashioned entertainment, Newscom has a rather large collection of some of our favorite photos from the last 12 months. We apologize in advance for the unfortunate number of Lady Gaga photos, but she does know how to make things dramatic. On the other hand, you can thank us later for the monkey in pearls.
Of late it seems a large portion of celebrity headlines have focused on divorces – whether it’s Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian’s epic 72-day Kollapse, or Ashton and Demi’s saying no Moore, or JLo and Marc Anthony’s split. But we also had a few big weddings to celebrate. The Royal Wedding (yes, the “w” should be capitalized there) part 1 and part 2. The Paul McCartney wedding might as well be the RW part 3.
Tears were shed as we had to say goodbye to Elizabeth Taylor, The Oprah Winfrey show, and Alan Rickman.
Now we just have to decide which pictures are our favorite and get ready to move on to 2012. So please tell us, which pictures do you like best?
